G6PD test - £130
If you’re considering IV Nutrient Therapy (IVNT) or IV ozone therapy, a G6PD test may be required to ensure safety. G6PD deficiency can make red blood cells more vulnerable to oxidative stress, which can be triggered by certain IV treatments. High-dose vitamin C therapy can cause hemolysis (red blood cell breakdown) in people with G6PD deficiency.
However, there is no documented cases of ozone therapy causing hemolysis.
